Celebration begins at 10:00 am sharp
You are invited to celebrate the life of our dear friend and colleague Jim MacDonald on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 10:00 am. Doors will open at 9:15 am and we ask that you get seated by 9:55 am.
There will be a formal Legion ritual right at 10:00 am followed by speeches from family and colleagues of Jim. This is a celebration of a life well lived, and an opportunity for us to show our love for his family members and share our memories.
Please take the opportunity to RSVP by using the attending button on this Facebook Event Notice and we encourage you to share this information with your friends and colleagues who knew Jim. If you are unable to RSVP online, you can email your intention to attend to the legion88@telus.net email.
There will be an opportunity for people to come up and share a story as part of the Celebration of life event, however if you are shy, or are unable to attend in person, you can email Fred Armstrong, the emcee, at fredarmstrong01@gmail.com with your message or story, and he will read it out as part of his presentation.
After the ceremony there will be refreshments and you are encouraged to raise a toast to our beloved Jim and visit with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you consider a donation to charities that meant a lot to Jim. Specifically, the Legion #88 Poppy Fund, the Variety Club or the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation.
